Local financial records
ERN Finance works offline without a separate ERN account. Financial records are stored on your device unless you choose to export, back up, or share them. ERN does not sell or rent your financial records.
Data you enter
Account names, balances, transactions, budgets, goals, credit card details, sinking fund records, member information, and other information you enter are stored locally on your device.
Moving data between devices
Use JSON export and import to transfer a profile manually. Importing replaces the destination profile’s data rather than merging records. Automatic local backups remain on the device and provide recovery copies while enabled. The app no longer offers iCloud Sync.
Backups, exports, and receipts
When you choose to create a backup, export data, generate a receipt, or share an image, the file is created at your request. You control where it is saved and who receives it. Your device platform or the sharing service you choose may process that file under its own privacy policy.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, depending on your device. The developer does not receive your full payment details. The relevant store provides purchase status so the app can unlock features, restore purchases, and check active access.
Diagnostics and tracking
On iOS and Android, product analytics and crash reporting can be controlled independently in the app's Privacy settings. When enabled and available in the installed build, Firebase receives predefined feature interactions, automatically measured app launches/screens/sessions, approximate location derived from network addresses, in-app purchase events (product identity and price), and technical information such as app/OS versions, device model, installation identifiers and crash diagnostics. Approximate location does not use GPS or precise location permission. Purchase events describe ERN store purchases; they do not include your recorded expenses, income or accounts. These services help improve app reliability and features; they do not receive your profile name, amounts, account details, transaction details, goals, notes or file contents. Collection is encrypted in transit. ERN does not use advertising identifiers, personalized advertising or cross-app tracking. Turning analytics off stops analytics collection. Turning crash reporting off deletes unsent reports and fully applies to future crashes after the next app launch. Already transmitted diagnostics are subject to the service provider's retention practices.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual records inside the app, use the app's reset tools, or delete the app from your device to remove its locally stored data. Files you exported must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them. If you used iCloud Sync in an earlier version, removing the feature or deleting local data does not delete previously stored iCloud copies. Manage those copies through your Apple iCloud storage settings.
Children
ERN Finance is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Bank and brand identification
Bank, e-wallet, card, and merchant names and logos appear only to help users identify their selected accounts and categories. All trademarks and brand assets belong to their respective owners. ERN Finance is an independent planning and record-keeping tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the institutions shown in the app.
Policy updates
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the applicable App Store or Google Play disclosures will be updated before the change takes effect.
